Maharashtra: Eknath Shinde got angry at Abu Azmi for calling Aurangzeb a ‘good man’, said- a case of treason should be filed

Maharashtra, March 3:
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde reacted strongly to Samajwadi Party (SP) leader and MLA Abu Azmi’s statement about Aurangzeb. Shinde said, Abu Azmi’s statement is wrong and should be condemned. Calling such a person good is the biggest sin and hence Azmi should apologize. Our Chief Minister has taken this matter seriously and a case of treason should be registered against him.
While talking to the media in Mumbai, Azmi had said that ‘wrong history is being shown. Aurangzeb built many temples… Aurangzeb was not cruel. In an interview with a news channel, the SP leader had said, as much as I have read about Aurangzeb, he never took public money for himself, his rule extended to Burma (present Myanmar), at that time the country was called Sone Ki Chidiya. He said, I think he was a great administrator, there were many Hindu commanders in his army. (Agencies)
