Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has terminated the services of two government employees after getting their links with terrorist organizations. The step was taken after investigation by law enforcement and intelligence agencies. Both the employees had deep links with terrorist organizations and were getting assistance from Pakistan-based terrorist groups.
Ab. Rehman Naik, a resident of Devsar in Kulgam district of Kashmir, was appointed as a medical assistant in 1992. His links with terrorist outfit Hizbul Mujahideen.During the investigation, Naika provided assistance to terrorists to target local political leaders and security forces.
Zahir Abbas, a resident of Badat Sarur in Kishtwar district, was appointed as a teacher in a government school in 2012. In 2020, he was arrested for sheltering three active terrorists. Abbas was also revealed to have been providing weapons and supplies to Pakistani terrorists. The investigation also revealed that he was actively connected with his terrorist contacts even while in jail.
