Large boulders fell on the road in J&K, traffic on the main road completely halted

Baramulla, July 26:
A landslide on the Drang-Tangmarg road in Baramulla district on Saturday. It has brought a huge amount of debris and stones on the road. Due to which the movement of vehicles on this road has been completely suspended. According to the information received, due to continuous rain, there was a sudden landslide from the hill, due to which the road was blocked. As a precautionary measure, the administration has stopped traffic on this route to avoid any untoward incident.

Teams of local administration and concerned departments are engaged in the work of removing debris from the road. Authorities have appealed to people to avoid travelling on this route till the road is fully restored and follow official weather and traffic advisories.

No casualties have been reported so far. Road restoration work is underway and traffic will be resumed once the debris is cleared.
