Jammu, December 11:
A laborer was brutally murdered in Gadhkhal village of Akhnoor. He lived in a rented house. When he left the house, he had an argument with the owner. The landlord killed him by hitting him with a knife. Police has arrested the accused and registered a case under section 103 and started investigation.
The incident happened on Tuesday afternoon. The deceased Pappu Paswan (39) resident of Araria (Bihar). The deceased lived with his wife on rent in Balvindra Singh’s house in Gadkhal village. Two days ago, he wanted to leave the house. He had packed all his belongings. When he started packing, he got into an argument with Balvindra Singh. Balvindra Singh told the police that he had to take the rent of the house for several months from Pappu, but he was leaving without taking the rent.
So, he hit him with a knife in the field outside the house and he died. However, after killing him, he threw his body in the fields. When Pappu was not found for two days, his wife lodged a complaint with the police. The wife told that before going missing, Pappu and Balvindra Singh had a big argument.
Police started investigation on this fact. Balvindra Singh was taken into custody for questioning as a suspect. During the questioning, Balvindra Singh accepted that he had committed the murder. DSP Mudasir Hussain says that this is a case of dispute over the house. We had taken Balvindra Singh into custody and he has confessed that he had committed the murder.
The police is investigating the deceased’s wife as a suspect. It is possible that she may also have a role in this murder. But, nothing is being said about it officially yet.
