Srinagar, July 7:
More than 150 civil society representatives unanimously passed a resolution demanding restoration of full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir at a meeting held at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar on Tuesday.
The resolution appealed to the central government to restore the statehood of Jammu and Kashmir without any further delay.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was also present.
Giving information on social media platforms, the NC said that all the representatives present in the meeting unanimously demanded the central government to give full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir as soon as possible.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed gratitude to all the delegates who attended the meeting. He said that the discussion was very positive and fruitful. He said that Dr. Farooq Abdullah received many important suggestions during the meeting.
