Jammu, March 10:
Late on Wednesday night, Jauhar Mehmood allegedly used a dagger to fatally stab his female acquaintance Dr. Sumedha at his home in the Janipur neighborhood of the city.
According to the police, when Johar Mahmood stabbed Sumedha to death and with the same dagger before becoming terrified and stabbing himself in the gut.
According to the Janipur Police, Jauhar Mehmood’s situation is unworthy of remark. From his statement, it will be obvious how and why he murdered Sumedha and under what conditions.
Dr. Sumedha, the 26-year-old son of Kamal Kishore and a native of Talab Tillo Gol Puli, Jammu, completed her MDS in dental studies in Delhi.
During the Holi holidays, Sumedha traveled from Delhi to Jammu. Rather than traveling to her own home, Sumedha visited her acquaintance Jauhar Mahmood, the son of Mahmood Ginai.
The two had a fight at Johar’s home over some dispute, according to the police, and Johar then killed Sumedha with a knife from the kitchen. After Johar killed her, he posted on Facebook that he was going to end his life because he was unhappy with it. Johar’s family members informed the Janipur police after getting the news from his Facebook post.
The officers immediately went to Jauhar’s house which was locked from inside, then police forcefully open the door and went inside the residence. When the officers entered, Johar was wounded and Sumedha’s blood-soaked body was lying there. They were both brought to the infirmary. While Johar is receiving treatment, Sumedha was pronounced brought dead by the physicians during the early inquiry. The Janipur cops have charged Johar Mehmood with murder in light of the proof they have on hand.
