Jammu, June 26:
The Jammu Police on Thursday conducted a comprehensive cordon and search operation (CASO) in the Khour area.
The operation was organised with an aim to further strengthen the security system, maintain law and order. The operation was carried out under the supervision of senior police officers.
As part of the security operation, the police teams carried out intensive search operations, verification drives.
The operation was aimed at further strengthening the security arrangements. It keeps a strict vigil on suspicious activities and preventing anti-social and anti-national elements from disturbing peace in the region, the officials said.
During the operation, the police personnel carried out thorough checks at various locations and intensified patrolling in strategically important areas. The operation was conducted in a professional and coordinated manner. During this time, the police officers also interacted with the local people to strengthen the public’s trust and increase the participation of the community in maintaining security.
According to the police, no case of any suspicious activity, illegal activity or security concern was reported during the operation. The entire operation was conducted peacefully without any untoward incident.
Jammu Police reiterated its commitment to provide a safe and secure environment for the citizens and said that such preventive operations will continue in future in sensitive and strategically important areas to further strengthen the security system and maintain public confidence.
