Jammu, March 7:
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah presented the state budget on Friday. He said that Jammu and Kashmir is now moving towards lasting peace.
Noting that the State has increased its GST compliance in the Budget. Abdullah expressed his commitment to align with the SDGs. The Chief Minister said the key focus of the Budget is on empowering the youth and women.
An amount of Rs 815 crore has been allocated for agriculture in the budget. It will create 2.88 lakh jobs. Two crop system will be promoted in the state. Also emphasis will be laid on expanding the horticulture sector.
Omar Abdullah stressed that the state is moving towards peace. He said that Jammu and Kashmir is now moving towards lasting peace after decades of unrest.
