Jammu, August 31:
The storm that arose in the BJP after the ticket distribution is not subsiding despite all the damage control efforts. Now a wave of resignations has started in Jammu. Chandramohan Sharma in Jammu and District President Kashmira Singh in Samba resigned, alleging that those who had been working for the party for a long time were sidelined.
National General Secretary Tarun Chugh and State President Ravinder Raina themselves have taken charge of convincing the angry leaders and their supporters. It may be noted that earlier, BJP’s first woman DDC in Kashmir, Minha, had resigned. Senior BJP leader Chandramohan announced his resignation on Friday.
He alleged that he has been associated with the party for the last fifty years. He held many important positions and fulfilled every responsibility of the party with full honesty. But today the current party leadership is ignoring the old faces and giving importance to bringing new people into the party. These people have forgotten the principles of the party.
We have been true soldiers of the party. We have called a meeting on Sunday, in which consultations will be held with supporters. He talked about contesting as an independent from Jammu East. But he also said that he will enter the fray as a true soldier of BJP.
At the same time, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha district president Advocate Kanav Sharma has also written a letter to state president Arun Prabhat Singh and BJP district president Pramod Kapahi and resigned along with his team members. He alleges that there is no difference in the thinking of NC, Congress and BJP now. The political experience of the old people is being ignored.
