Jammu, November 22:
The Jammu administration and Jammu police, determined to eradicate drug abuse, are wreaking havoc on drug hotspots.
On Saturday, the police demolished a building worth crores of rupees. That built with the proceeds of drug trafficking, by notorious drug smugglers Gulzar Ahmed alias Lahu Gujjar and Yuka Gujjar in Chak Bajiru village of Bishnah.
The smugglers had built this building illegally on state and agricultural land. The administration also had the debris removed to prevent them from using it.
It should be noted that on Friday, the police and administration raided Sikandarpur Kotha in Bishnah village.
According to an order issued by the DC Jammu, the police and administration launched an anti-encroachment drive. Police also demolished around 15 houses built on government land. It reclaims land worth crores of rupees in Sikandarpur Kotha village of Bishnah tehsil.
On Saturday, the administration freed 16 kanals of land from encroachment and demolished a two-storey building worth around Rs 1 crore.
It should also be noted that these two houses belonged to notorious drug smuggler Lahoo Gujjar and his brother Yuka Gujjar. The administration has already demolished Lahoo Gujjar’s house.
