Srinagar, November 18:
Security forces have arrested an Imam at a check post in Baramulla district. An AK-47 rifle, magazine and 20 cartridges also recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Shaukat Ahmad, a resident of Nagnad, Kulgam. He used to serve as an Imam in Hanjan of Behibagh. Shaukat was missing since the 10th of this month.
Based on an information, 46 RR, 53 CRPF Battalion and SOG Baramulla had set up a MVCP (Mobile Vehicle Check Point) in Janbazpora-Binar road. During checking, Shaukat Ahmad Bhat was apprehended with a bag full of arms and ammunition.
