Famous actress Neetu Chandra has approached the Patna High Court against singer Honey Singh’s new song ‘Maniac’. She has filed a PIL in the court saying that the song shows obscenity. Honey Singh’s song ‘Maniac’ was recently released on YouTube. The song has received seven million views in a month. Esha Gupta has danced in it.
This PIL can be heard this month. Apart from Honey Singh, the PIL also has the names of those people who have helped in making this song. It also names lyricist Leo Grewal and Bhojpuri singer Ragini Vishwakarma and Arjun Ajnabee.
In her PIL, Patna actress Neetu Chandra has demanded the court to direct the lyricist to change the lyrics. Neetu Chandra has appeared in many Bollywood films.
Neetu Chandra wrote in the PIL that sexuality has been openly shown in the song. In this, women have been shown only as a sexual object.
Neetu Chandra is an actress, model, film producer and theatre artist. She has worked in ‘Traffic Signal’, ‘Ek Do Teen’ and ‘Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye’.
