Srinagar, May 20:
Ghulam Qadir Lone, former general secretary of banned organization Jamaat-e-Islami, appealed to the youth to vote in maximum numbers. He said that with full participation of voters, the dark chapter of election rigging of 1987 will not be repeated.
Lone said that a lot of time has passed since the 1987 rigging. Hopefully this won’t be repeated again. He highlighted the important role of youth in shaping the future through voting. He said that he has demanded the central government to lift the ban on his organization. If the ban on Jamaat-e-Islami is lifted then he will participate in the next elections.
