Srinagar, July 8:
Former chairperson of Baramulla DDC joined the NC at the party headquarters on Wednesday.
Accompanied by her supporters, Safina joined the party in the presence of NC president Dr Farooq Abdullah.
Safina’s joining the party is being seen as a major boost for the National Conference in Baramulla district. The party won 6 out of 7 assembly seats in the 2024 elections. Safina’s husband Muzaffar Hussain Baig, who was one of the founders of the PDP, had served as the deputy CM in the PDP-Congress coalition government.
