Srinagar, November 13:
An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Yaripura area of Kulgam district this morning. According to sources, some firing was heard at the beginning of the encounter. After which the security forces cordoned off the area and the search operation is underway. According to sources, 2-3 terrorists are probably trapped in the security forces’ cordon.
Security forces have cordoned off the area around the encounter site and the operation is underway to search for the suspected terrorists. At present, no casualties have been reported in this encounter, but additional forces have been deployed in the area. According to local sources, the security forces had received information that terrorists were hiding in the area, after which the search operation was started.
Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and Central Reserve Police Force personnel are present at the spot. They are conducting operation against the terrorists. The area has been completely cordoned off and search operation is underway by the security forces to neutralise the terrorists.
