Srinagar, December 19:
Five terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Kulgam district on Thursday. According to Jammu and Kashmir Police, the encounter took place in Qadder area of Kulgam district.
After receiving information about the presence of suspected terrorists, security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Qaddar of Behibagh area of the district on Wednesday night. Seeing themselves surrounded, the terrorists started firing on the security forces, in retaliation the security forces also opened fire. According to officials, the bodies of five terrorists are lying in the garden but have not been recovered yet.
