Having displayed their cowardice acts in Kashmir by targeting mainstream politicians, frustrated militants have now shown their real face by killing a three-year old child and injuring six persons of his family in Rajouri by hurling a grenade at the residence of BJP Mandal President. Two family members are believed to be seriously injured. This was stated by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K Executive Member Raman Suri, who urged the government to provide best possible treatment to the injured and nab the culprits as soon as possible to avenge this killing. He said, already on the run, these militants are trying to create fear amongst people but this design will not be allowed to succeed in any way. In a statement issued to mercury times, Raman Suri said, while Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir celebrated two years of the Abrogation of Article on August 5 and is preparing for Independence Day celebrations, militants backed by rouge state Pakistan are trying to create unrest but it will never happen. He said that martyrdom of this little child from Rajouri will not go waste and while his killing will be avenged, militancy will also be completely wiped out from the UT. Expressing his shock over the killing of three-year-old Veer Singh, son of Balbir Singh and nephew of BJP Mandal President Jasbir Singh, an ex-serviceman whose house was targeted by the militant(s) at Khandli bridge Chowk in the heart of Rajouri, Raman Suri said that the loss is irreparable but the nefarious designs of militants will never succeed. He prayed for peace to departed soul and strength for the family to bear this irreparable loss.
Demanding adequate security cover for BJP leaders, Raman Suri said, they are all working in remote areas and at odd hours to bring a positive change in the UT, due to which they become prone to such attacks. He asked the government to review entire security cover of politicians and protect their lives and properties at all costs. He said, a lot of security personnel are also sitting idle without any work at estate quarters, where no employees stay now. Those personnel should also be deployed on duty.
