Jammu, March 18:
A woman broke through the security check and entered the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi temple building with a pistol. The incident took place on the night of 14-15 March 2025. The woman has been identified as Jyoti Gupta, who is employed with the Delhi Police. The license of the weapon had expired.
Reasi police has arrested the woman and seized the weapon. An FIR has been lodged at the police station building in Katra, a case has been registered under the Arms Act.
Earlier it was reported that the arrested woman was working in Delhi Police, however later Reasi SSP Parminder Singh clarified that the arrested woman does not work in Delhi Police.
