BJP leader committed suicide by hanging himself

New Delhi, March 4:

Thakur Awadhesh Kumar, BJP vice president of North-East district and former zone chairman, ended his life by hanging himself in Yamuna Vihar area.

The party workers reached the office on Tuesday morning, found the door locked from inside. Later, the matter was reported to Bhajanpura police. When the police reached the spot and broke the door, they found the body of Awadhesh Kumar hanging from the fan.

The case was immediately reported to the crime team as well as the FSL. As soon as the news was received. The investigation team reached the spot. The team collected evidence from the spot very meticulously. After receiving the news, police officers also reached the spot. Senior officials said that a suicide note has been recovered from Awadhesh. In the suicide note, he has written that he took this step due to not being able to repay the loan. The police handed over the body to the family after the post-mortem on Tuesday itself.

Bhajanpura police is investigating the case. During the initial investigation, the police came to know that Awadhesh was suffering from depression for some time.

A senior officer of the North-East district said that Awadhesh Kumar lived with his family in Tukamirpur. His family includes his wife Sudha, son Sanjay and a daughter. Awadhesh left home on Tuesday morning without telling anyone. After this, he reached the district office. When the workers reached the office at 11 am, it was locked from inside. Everyone knew that the keys to the district office were with Awadhesh Kumar. Later, when the matter seemed suspicious, the police was informed. The police reached the spot and broke the door and took out the body. The police is investigating the matter. (Agencies)
