Ladakh, May 1:
BJP’s advocate Tashi Gyalson is in the fray for this seat. BJP has canceled the ticket of Ladakh MP Jamyang Tshering Namgyal. Gyalson, a lawyer by profession, is a councilor from Lingshed constituency and in 2020 was elected as the sixth Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor of Leh. He was a member of PDP in the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir. He joined BJP after the fall of BJP-PDP coalition government. Shortly after joining BJP, he was made the General Secretary of the party.
