Bharat Tex 2025: ‘This is a big global event, more than 120 countries are participating’; PM Modi praised Bharat Tex

New Delhi, February 16:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed Bharat Tex 2025 at Bharat Mandapam. During this, he said, ‘The second session of Bharat Tex is being held at Bharat Mandapam … Bharat Tex gives us a glimpse of our tradition as well as developed India … The seed we have sown is growing very fast’. Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited an exhibition at Bharat Tex 2025. The Prime Minister interacted with the participants and was informed about many aspects of the exhibition.

PM Modi further said- Bharat Tex is a big global event, more than 120 countries are participating in it. Bharat Tex 2025 is being organized on 14-17 February at Bharat Mandapam. This is a unique event bringing the entire value chain of textiles from raw materials to finished products on a single platform.

PM Modi further said- This event is giving a tremendous boost to investment, export and overall growth in the textile sector. In this event of Bharat Tex, India’s cultural diversity is also seen through our garments. Some of my colleagues told me that on an average setting up a factory costs Rs 70-75 crore and it provides employment to about 2,000 people. First of all, I would request the people of the banking sector to understand the demands of these industries.

Bharat Tex 2025 has attracted policy makers and global CEOs, exhibitors, international buyers from over 120 countries, apart from visitors. Participants include over 25 leading global textile bodies and associations from across the world, including the International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF), International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC), Euratex, Textile Exchange and US Fashion Industry Association (USFIA).
