Apni Party has appealed to the Govt to fast track recruitment process in Jammu and Kashmir.
While speaking at an impressive function at Apni Party office in Gandhi Nagar where many youth joined Apni Party, Vijay Bakaya General Secretary Apni Party and ex-MLC expressed great satisfaction that so many youth college going youth had come forward to show interest in the pragmatic policies of the Apni Party.
He told the gathering that youth had a vital role to play in helping the Apni Party to take the people of the UT towards a stable peaceful and prosperous future.
He said that this would happen as the Apni Party would shun divisive politics and not indulge in empty rhetoric.
Bakaya said the Apni Party would strive to make youth develop an optimistic and healthy attitude and to assure employment opportunities for all deserving youth.
He urged “The Govt to fast track recruitment and also takes care of the aspirations of youth engaged on temporary basis with no guarantee of a secure future like Rehbar Khel who were working like any government servant with meagre emoluments and hope of becoming permanent only after completing seven years of service. Such a callous attitude was causing frustration among youth.”
Apni Party General Secretary, Vikram Malhotra appealed to the Govt of India to reserve certain jobs in Union Govt Departments keeping in view the troubling period since the last three decades.
Malhotra said that the youth should be given attention and the reduce chances of their being indulging in drug addiction and other unlawful activities.
He was speaking at a joining programme which was organized at Gandhi Nagar office of Apni Party. In this programme, over 70 youth joined the Party expressing their faith in the policy and agenda of the party. Prominent among those who joined the Party included Prabhjot Singh, Jagran Deep Singh, Vijay Sharma, Sumit Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Amrit Pal Singh, Balwinder Singh and others. The programme was organized by Gourav Kapoor and Shivam Choudhary.
Speaking on the occasion, Apni Party General Secretary Vikram Malhotra said that there was frustration among the youth due to poor employment avenues in Govt departments.
“In recent times, the notifications were withdrawn citing various reasons and the vacancies were also questioned by the youth not only in Jammu, but in Kashmir also,” said Vikram.
Provincial President and Former Minister Manjit Singh appealed “Besides looking for Govt jobs, the youth should also start small businesses and become entrepreneurs to generate employment opportunities for others. If the youth become self-reliant, it will make J&K prosperous because it is not possible for everyone to get Govt jobs.”
He termed the youth as backbone of J&K and the nation who should be given special attention and special recruitment drives should be conducted in the border area of Jammu division from Kathua to Poonch district.
“The Party has resolved to fight for the cause of the youth. The youth have lost their confidence under present circumstances. It is not possible to restore confidence among the youth without the elected Govt. J&K should have an elected Govt and assembly elections should be held as early as possible,” said Manjit Singh.
Provincial President, Women Wing, Namrta Sharma highlighted concerns of educated women in J&K and targeted BJP for its failure in fulfilling promises made with the people.
“They used youth as vote bank in elections and then abandoned them. The hopelessness among youth has increased with withdrawal of posts advertised for recruitments,” she added.
Ex-MLC and Vice Provincial President, Asghali Ali stated that the Apni Party needs the energy and youth power to move forward to achieve its goal of development with a progressive and pragmatic outlook.
Shoaib Lone, District President, Baramulla said that the party will channelize energy of the youth towards the right direction and empower them. “We will not allow divisive politics and unite the youth of two regions towards a better future,” he said.
Lone said that the youth of Jammu and Kashmir have the same aspirations, but political parties always played with their emotions and diverted their attention from the basic issues of employment and development.
Vajinder Dutta, Ajaz Kazmi, Abhay Bakaya, Media Coordinator Raqeeq Ahmed Khan, Ashraf Choudhary, Gohar Wani, JP Singh, Dalbir Singh, Vishal Zutshi, Vaibhav Mattoo, Jogdiner Singh, Vipan Bali, Farooq Choudhary, Jagmeet Singh Bali were present in the joining programme.
