The Home Ministry has declared the Jammu and Kashmir Ittehadul Muslimeen an illegal association and banned it with immediate effect for the next five years. The ministry has alleged that the organisation is involved in illegal activities.
In an order issued by the Home Ministry, it was said that JKIM is working against the country. Its activities are posing a threat to national security. Under this, all activities of the organization have been banned. If its members or associates are found involved in any kind of activity, strict action will be taken against them.
Following this decision, security forces in the Jammu and Kashmir region have been directed to intensify operations against the organization. This decision of the Home Ministry is being considered important from the point of view of security matters across the country, which is a necessary step to protect the sovereignty and integrity of India.
