2 people trapped in a overflowing drain in Kathua, police reached the spot and started a rescue operation

Jammu, July 21:
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rains in Jammu and Kashmir. Due to this, rivers and streams are in spate in the entire Union Territory. At the same time, 2 persons have been reported trapped in the Bhini drain in Billawar, Kathua district. As soon as the information was received, the rescue team reached the spot and started the rescue of the people.

According to the information, 2 people were trapped in the Bhinni drain of Billawar. They could not cross the drain due to the rapid flow of water. As soon as the information reached the Billawar police, they immediately started the rescue operation. The team led by SDPO Nirad Padiyar has taken over the front and every effort is being made to rescue the two men.

Significantly, due to continuous heavy rains, all the rivers and streams of the entire Jammu and Kashmir are in spate. In such a situation, the administration is also appealing to the people not to go to the river bank because the water level can rise at any time.
