Indian Railways is going to make a big change for passengers. If you travel by local or long-distance train, then this information is important for you. If you also use the UTS app for general tickets or platform tickets, be careful.
From March 1, 2026, the Railways is going to completely shut down its old UTS app. Now passengers will have to resort to a new and modern ‘RailOne’ super app for ticket booking. The old UTS app is now being replaced with the ‘RailOne’ super app.
UTS app closed from 1st March 2026
The Railways is discontinuing the old UTS app from 1st March 2026. Now you have to use the new RailOne Super App to book general tickets, platform tickets, and monthly passes. The good thing is that you don’t have to create a new account. You can sign in to RailOne only with an old UTS login or IRCTC ID.
What will be found in the RailOne app?
RailOne is an all-in-one app, with several features coming together:
General ticket, reservation and platform ticket at one place, live status of the train, PNR and coach position information, food order through e-catering, complaint lodged through Rail Madad The balance of the old R-Wallet will be safe.
Discounts on Digital Payments
If you book a general ticket with UPI, card or net banking, you will get a discount of 3%. This offer is valid till July 2026.
Now the aim of the Railways is to get all the facilities in one app and ticket booking becomes easier than before.
