Jammu, April 25:
In the second phase of Lok Sabha polls, voting will be held on Friday in Jammu parliamentary seat amid tight security arrangements in four districts of the state. Voters will be able to cast their votes from 7 am to 6 pm. For this, all preparations have been completed in 18 assembly constituencies of Jammu, Samba, Rajouri and Reasi districts. There are 22 candidates in the fray for this seat, whose fate will be decided by more than 17 lakh voters.
All preparations were completed on Thursday at 2416 polling stations in all the four districts. In this, 1750 booths have been established in rural areas and 666 in cities. Strictness under Section 144 has been increased in all the districts. The entire security system has been activated to control anti-social activities. Webcasting will be done at 1454 booths during voting.
