Unemployed dental doctors may receive a job gift; positions will soon be available at primary health centers

Jammu, September 18:
Unemployed dental doctors, who have been struggling on the streets of Jammu and Kashmir for nearly 17 years, may soon find employment. The Department of Health and Medical Education is exploring the possibility of creating positions for dental doctors.
It is expected that more than five posts may be created for dental doctors in Jammu and Kashmir.
It’s worth noting that the last dental positions in Jammu and Kashmir were created in 2008. After that, with the exception of a few positions in dental colleges and the National Health Mission, no positions were ever created for dental doctors. This led to a growing number of unemployed dental doctors and fueled their anger.
Dental doctors subsequently protested several times demanding employment.

However, sources within the Health and Medical Education Department, the administrative department has now initiated the process to create positions.
