The dream of reaching Kashmir valley by train from any part of the country is getting closer to fulfillment. On Sunday, the train engine reached Reasi from Sangaldan.
During this time, the engine also successfully passed through the world’s highest Chenab railway bridge. Railway officials said that the trial was completely successful. When the engine travelled, there were loud slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai.
The engine started from Sawlakot in Reasi district and reached Reasi railway station at 3 pm. People reached the station on getting the information about the arrival of the engine.
As soon as the engine crossed the Bakkal tunnel and reached Reasi sounding the siren, the station echoed with the slogan Bharat Mata Ki Jai. The world’s highest railway bridge is also built on this track.
The dream of passing through this bridge by train will be fulfilled after getting the green signal from the Railway Safety Commissioner (CRS). CRS DC Deshwal has proposed a two-day visit on 27-28 June to inspect the 46 km long Sangaldan-Riyasi track.
