A sudden fire broke out in the main market of Sonamarg in Ganderbal, yesterday. The fire was so fierce that flames started rising in the market. This was the scene after the devastating fire in the main market of Sonamarg.
On the fire in the main market of Sonamarg, local resident said that the lack of fire and emergency vehicles here is shameful. The responsibility for this lies with the politicians and the administration. Sonamarg Trade Union has been demanding fire and emergency vehicles for the last 20 years.
Another local resident said that Sonamarg Trade Union has been demanding a fire service station for many years. Still the government has not moved an inch. The government earns a lot of revenue from Sonamarg but has not invested anything in Sonamarg for the welfare and safety of people’s property. If they have any shame left, they should build a fire service station here.
