Jammu, June 3:
A major incident of theft has come to light in Kanati village of Nowshera area.
According to information, 72 sheep were stolen from the stable of Kasturi Lal, of Kanati. There is an atmosphere of concern in the entire area. The victim’s family says that sheep farming is their main means of livelihood. They have suffered huge financial loss due to the theft of such a large number of sheep.
Local sarpanch Sunil has demanded the police administration to investigate the matter seriously. He said that the accused involved in the theft incident should be traced as soon as possible and the stolen cattle should be recovered and strict legal action should be taken against the culprits.
Locals have also demanded that the administration take necessary steps to provide justice to the victim’s family and further strengthen the security system in the area.
