Jammu, October 29:
The Jammu and Kashmir government has increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) by three percent. It gives relief to employees and pensioners. Now government employees will be given 58 percent dearness allowance instead of 55 percent on their basic salary. Pensioners will be given 58 percent dearness allowance on basic pension.
The revised rates will be effective from July 1, 2025. The number of state government employees is close to 5.10 lakh and the number of pensioners is around 2.40 lakh. According to the order issued by the Finance Department, the arrears from July to September 2025 will be paid in cash in the month of October.
From October, the increased Dearness Allowance will be added to the regular salary and pension.
