The Congress said, “They have options open to contest by-elections on both the seats, just waiting for the decision of the party high command”

Jammu, October 18:
The anger of the National Conference for not giving a safe seat for the Rajya Sabha elections is still clearly visible in the state Congress.
On Saturday, the state Congress made it clear that it can field its candidates in the upcoming by-elections to two assembly seats.
State Congress president Tariq Hameed Kara said in Srinagar on Saturday that the party has kept all options open for the bypolls to Budgam and Nagrota seats. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had said a day earlier that the National Conference was contesting from the Budgam seat.
In Nagrota, they will support the Congress if they field their candidate. But the state Congress president said that the party high command has to take a decision in this regard. The National Conference has asked us to support it.
