Terrorists operating in the forests of Rajouri-Poonch are using Virtual Private Network (VPN).
This is the biggest obstacle in finding their location.
Intelligence agencies have inputs that terrorists are using such apps which run without internet. However, even before this, terrorists have used such apps many times. Through these apps, terrorist organizations are helping terrorists from across the border. Through the app, they not only give targets but also show a safe route after the attack, which keeps them safe.
It is pertinent to mention here that when terrorists were caught in Nagrota and Kathua of Jammu, VPN apps were found in their mobiles. Recently, the police has filed an FIR against three youths in Rajouri for using VPN app. Police also suspect that terrorists active in the forests are using such apps.
