Team India: India is dominating the ICC tournament since 2023, won 23 out of 24 matches; won two titles

New Delhi, March 11:
The Indian team led by Rohit Sharma has been dominating the ICC tournaments since 2023. India has played a total of 24 matches from October 2023 to March 2025, out of which it has won 23 matches. The Indian team has been successful in dominating the last three limited overs tournaments of the ICC. Even though it lost in the final of the 2023 ODI World Cup, it has been successful in winning two consecutive titles after that.
India recently won the Champions Trophy title by defeating New Zealand. This is India’s seventh ICC trophy.
The way the Indian team has performed in ICC tournaments in the recent past, it has become one of the few teams that have dominated ICC tournaments. This victorious saga of India began in October 2023 when the team participated in the ODI World Cup on home ground. The ODI World Cup was played in a round robin format in which all 10 teams had to play matches against each other. India won all nine and then the semi-final. This the team reached the final by winning 10 matches in a row. However, in the title match, it lost to Australia.
India felt this defeat very badly because the team was very close to becoming the world champion once again after 2011. Seven months later, in June 2024, India went to America and West Indies to participate in the T20 World Cup under the captaincy of Rohit. India’s performance was excellent there as well like the ODI World Cup. (Agencies)
