Jammu, August 21:
After the announcement of the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Central Election Commission is constantly keeping a close eye on the security arrangements in the state. It is trying to ensure that no question or controversy arises regarding the security arrangements in the state as well as the security provided to the officials of political parties. This is the reason why it is now considering the deployment of special police observers in every district of the state. It is believed that these will be deployed soon.
The Commission has organized a meeting of experienced and dynamic observers associated with it on 22nd August in Delhi. During this meeting, the Commission will put forth before them the challenges faced during the elections. It will also inform them about the methods to be adopted to deal with them.
If sources are to be believed, the deployment of these observers will be announced only after this. In such a situation, these observers will have to stay in their area throughout the election. Along with this, they will have to keep the security system tight in collaboration with the local administration.
