Jammu, December 23:
Security forces have spread the search operation over 10 km to find and kill the terrorists hiding in the forest of Majalta in Udhampur. Sniffer dogs and drones have also been deployed in this operation. Security has been beefed up in neighbouring Samba district due to the presence of militants in Majalta.
In the forest of Majalta, the security forces have inputs about the hiding of Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists. Based on this, the encounter took place on December 15 in Sohan village of Majlata during the search operation. A policeman was martyred in this. It is feared that the terrorists trapped in the security circle are changing their hideouts by taking advantage of the cover of the dark and dense forest. To avoid hunger, these terrorists enter some house at night and reach to get food.
A security official said that since December 15, terrorists have been seen in the forest of Majalta thrice. Late on Saturday night, two terrorist thieves entered Mangatu Ram’s house in Motu village and forcibly took away food and food. The official said that after this incident, it has become necessary to increase the scope of the search operation.
Security forces continued their search operation in Chhatra in Kishtwar district for the fourth day on Monday. However, internet services have been restored for three days.
