The festival of lights symbolizes the spiritual “ Victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance”.
In a statement issued to mercury times, RHS staff and students joined hands to put up a spectacular Diwali Carnival in the school premises on 22nd Oct. 2022. The mega event was inaugurated by the Municipal Committee Executive Officer Mr. Jodh Raj and President Capt. Bachan Lal . They were accorded a warm welcome by RHS Managing Director Advocate Gambhir Dev Singh Ji Charak and Principal Ms. Anita Bhatia. The distinguished guests were entertained by the melodious festive song and dance performances in the “Cultural Bonanza” arena. The illustrious guests tried their luck at the fortunate draws and games much to the delight of the students. The Rangoli done by the students added grace and charm to the ongoing celebrations. Beautifully decorated diyas adorned the school campus to perfection. The chuckling and giggling sound of children filled the air while they enjoyed dancing, playing games and satisfying their hunger pangs at the mouth-watering food stalls.
Students enjoyed a Nukkad Natak giving swacchta message and highlighting the ill effects of plastic. The event concluded with the Managing Director sensitizing the students about the ill effects of crackers and wishing all a clean, safe and green Diwali to all.
