A grand and magnificent farewell function was organized in the premises of Govt Boys Higher secondary school Halmullaha, which was presided over by President Civil Society Kashmir & Ex Chairman EJAC & Teachers forum Ab Qayoom Wani. The see off function was also attended by worthy Joint Director North Rauf ur Rehman as chief guest. A large number of Principals of HSSs also graced the occasion viz Principal BHSS Kralpora, Principal BHSS Batapora Magam, Principal Halmatpora, Principal Drugmulla. ZEO Handwara Mr Shabir Ahmad Badana and ZEO Drugmulla Mr Ali Mohd Mir were also among the dignified guests.
The colorful cultural programs presented by students of institution added flavor to the see off function of Mir Fayaz & Mohd Shafi.
The top brass leaders of trade union,who spoke in the retirement function of M.Shafi Mir and Mir Fayaz are Ab Qayoom wani chairman civil society forum,Sahil Bashir Dp Jktf,,Gazi Manzoor Vdp Ejac,Ab Majeed Mir ex General secretary EJAC,Manzoor Ahmad Mir Ex Dp Lecturer forum and Worthy JD NORTH appreciated the dedication and commitment of Mir Fayaz as teacher and trade union leader.
He said that Mir Fayaz was an institution in itself and worked hard to uplift the education standard of District.
Ab Qayoom Wani hailed the contribution of Mir Fayaz as best pedagogy and an all rounder trade union leader. He said that the sacrifices of Mir Fayaz will be written with golden words in annals of trade union of UT J&K.
He said,Mir Fayaz always displayed truthfulness and loyalty in the forum and never compromised in the basic tenets of forum.
Sahil Bashir District president in his speech said that Mir Fayaz is the father of trade unionanism in district kupwara. He said that Mir Fayaz is his role model

The function was graced by the civil society members of District kupwara and parents, besides the relatives of Mir Fayaz and Mohd Shafi Mir
Mohd shafi Mir ex Principal of institution thanked all the leaders for attending his superannuation function while as Mir Fayaz became emotional and poured out his inner feelings on the day of retirement and passed his sincere thanks to all teachers and leaders on his retirement day.
The DDO of the institution Principal Mohd Ashraf sb presented vote of thanks to guests.
The proceedings of the programme was carried by a well versed teacher of institution Mr Nisar Ahmad Pir.
