Jammu and Kashmir BJP, Secretary, Rekha Mahajan, distributed Ayushman Health Cards among male and female beneficiaries in a programme held in Ward No. 30 of Talab Tillo. It was orgsnised by BJP Talab Tillo Mandal President, Keshav Chopra.
In a statement issued to mercury times, Rekha Mahajan, on this occasion, said that the government of Jammu and Kashmir is improving its health care facilities with each passing day.
Not only are there facilities, but the government has also initiated a fast track programme to take Centrally Sponsored Schemes at the doorstep of every person. To make these schemes more accessible to the people of J&K, the government aims to cover at least 90% of the households under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) and Ayushman Bhara, J&K Sehat Scheme.
Rekha Mahajan, while elaborating, said that Jammu and Kashmir has the distinction of being first in India to announce universal health care for all residents.
The world’s largest health insurance/assurance scheme, which is fully financed by the government, provides a cover of Rs five lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization across public and private empanelled hospitals in India.
She said that health of a person is paramount over every other necessity, so the implementation of the schemes should be brisk and missionary.
With this objective, the government has directed the officers to cover families under the schemes on a mission mode.
Under the said schemes, poor and marginalized will be benefitted most. The government has also asked officers to set target of at least registering 8000-10000 beneficiaries every day to accomplish the task on time. The government has further asked its insurance partner to make the process simple so that there is timely disbursement of claims.
It was revealed that around 4907408 Ayushman (Golden) cards have been generated so far and provided to beneficiaries. With such schemes the health care system of Jammu and Kashmir is now touching new heights, she added.
Rekha distributed these cards in presence of Senior leader Ayodhya Gupta, Veena Gupta, District General Secretary Rajesh Gupta, Puneet Mahajan, Munish Gupta and Vinod Singh Wazir.
