If due to some reason brothers and sisters are far away then they can celebrate this festive according to Mahant Rohit shastri in this way. Sister can tie rakhi to the Idol of Lord Krishna after doing tilak poojan and praying for the long life of her brother while keeping in mind the image of her brother. Brothers can also tie rakhi to themselves by touching rakhi to the Idol of Lord krishna and represent ‘Prasad’ to the lord. After this they can also have this ‘Prasad’. He also have to take some gift for his sister and whenever he meets his sister, he can give it to her and take her blessing. Sisters who don’t have real brothers, they can tie rakhi to their brothers in relation or to the Lord. Brother who don’t have real sisters, they can also tie rakhi on their hand from their sisters in relation or tie themselves by touching it from the Idol of the Lord. As we all know that our government is stressing upon boycott of Chinese items, we can also contribute to this mission by boycotting Chinese rakhis and using Swadeshi rakhis on this festival.
