Today, a press conference was held by Adv. Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation in which she cleared up all the ongoing rumours regarding the Property Tax.
Adv. Purnima Sharma informing the media said that the rumour that the property tax in being implemented is just a hoax spread by some anti social elements to cause havoc and panic among the public.
She further informed that the order/notification received from the HUDD Secretariat, was only to calculate the norms on which the amount for the property tax shall be charged. No order or notification has been received till now regarding the implementation of the property tax.
Adv. Purnima Sharma, further appealed to the locals not to believe the rumour without basic facts and figures as these rumours are mainly spread by the miscreants to cause havoc among the public and cause nuisance for the government.
At the end, She once again ensured the public that no need to panic and worry as no property tax is being implemented and only a notification of HUDD, Secretariat was received to discuss/calculate the norms on which the property tax may be charged.
The Press Conference ended with a vote of thanks by the Hon’ble Deputy Mayor to the media persons through which the public is made aware of all thats true and thats hoax.
