Poonch: Woman injured in wild animal attack in Mandi tehsil, condition critical

Jammu, July 6:
A woman was seriously injured in a wild bear attack in Loran block of Mandi tehsil of the district, police said on Sunday.

She was immediately brought to the Primary Health Center Loran.

After first aid, the injured woman was rushed to Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital in Poonch.

The injured woman has been identified as 42-year-old Zarina Akhtar wife of Abdul Kabir, resident of Dargam Loran. According to the information, Zarina Akhtar, who was living in Shaki Bhara Dok with her family and cattle these days. Where this afternoon when she was watering the field, a wild bear attacked her. On which the victim woman raised an alarm, the people around chased the bear away with sticks and stones and lifted the injured woman on her shoulders and walked for about three hours to the health center of Loran. From where he has been taken to Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital.
