Jammu, February 8:
Three of the seven infiltrators killed in a landmine blast in the Krishna Ghati area on LoC late Tuesday night were Pakistani Army personnel. They were commandos of the Special Operations Group of the Pakistan Army and members of the Border Action Team (BAT).
According to sources, around 2:30 am on Tuesday night, 7-8 people were infiltrating into Indian territory from Pakistan occupied area in Battal area. The landmine laid in Indian territory exploded along with the IED, killing seven. The bodies of five infiltrators were taken away by the terrorists at the Pakistan army posts before daybreak. While the bodies of two are still lying there.
According to sources, the Indian Army’s drone cameras have recorded the bodies lying on the Line of Control. However, no reaction or official statement has been given by the Indian Army regarding those killed in the explosion.
According to sources, the infiltrators killed in the blast had come to launch a BAT attack on the Indian Army’s forward post. However, neither Pakistan nor the Indian Army has been able to pick up the two bodies lying on the LoC. However, efforts are on from both sides to retrieve the bodies. Given the situation on the Line of Control, no risk is being taken to pick up the bodies.
