Jammu & Kashmir National Panthers Party organized a symbolic memorial day, today at its Headquarters, Jammu and high paid tributes to the great martyrs Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev who were martyred by the British Rulers on 23rd March, 1931. The JKNPP has been observing martyrs day of the martyrs on this day and had founded the J&K National Panthers Party with a mission to carry out the great message of the martyrs who laid down their lives for the freedom of India. The Panthers Party was founded this day in 1982 after Prof. Bhim Singh resigned from the Congress Party and Assembly seat with a mission to carry the great message that has been left by the martyrs. That the Panthers Party also established a convention to hold Panthers Party National Convention on this day and elect the Party Office Bearers namely the Chairman and the President. The Party could not carry the tradition because of the situation that was created in India and in the rest of the world. The Panthers Party advised all the District Presidents to organize this day in their respective 22 districts. The NPP organized a symbolic get-together at its Jammu Headquarters to pay tributes to the martyrs and remind all that the Party shall hold its election in six months time. It was also decided by the Working Committee and the Secretariat that the present office bearers of the Party shall continue. In the meantime it had been decided to reorganize membership of the Party and constitute fresh district committees before holding leadership election in August, 2020. Thousands of Panthers observed this martyrs day and celebrated creation of Panthers Party at districts level to pay tributes to martyrs Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev & Rajguru. Whereas the NPP Supremo observed this Memorial Day at NPP Headquarters, Jammu. They have conveyed their message from different parts of the State and expressed solidarity and support to the agenda of the Party for Reorganization of Jammu & Kashmir by reorganizing J&K as Twin States with separate recruitment, employment boards and fresh distribution of Assembly seats to both Jammu Province and Kashmir Ghati according to the conditions and qualifications laid in the rules of Election Commission of India. Population, Area and Terrains have to be taken into consideration as per the Constitution so that both Provincial Assemblies shall be allotted Assembly Constituencies according to the rule of law, equity and the Constitution.
Prof. Bhim Singh appealed to the youth of undivided Jammu and Kashmir to arise to the situation to uphold the dignity of the state and its residents without fear of oppression, depression or suppression.
He said the Panthers Party is the only ray of hope in the present era and the Panthers workers shall leave no stone unturned to achieve its targets set in the foundation declaration of the Party.
Hundreds of thousands of Panthers workers celebrated the day at their homes and in their neighbourhood in view of the lock down in the country to fight Corona virus. Tributes were paid to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev who were hanged by the British at Lahore Central Jail in 1931, which was a part of undivided India. Shaheed Bhagat Singh and his jail mates had refused to bow down to the British and sacrificed their lives for India.
Several senior leaders sent their telephonic/email messages from different parts of the State expressing solidarity with the Panthers Party. Also expressed their inability to attend martyrs day at NPP Headquarters, Jammu. They included Vice Presidents, P.K. Ganju, Masood Andrabi, Ch. Mohd. Iqbal, General Secretaries, Anita Thakur, Yash Paul Kundal, Sanjay Sahcdeva, Advisor-Panthers Party Delhi, Adv. Bansi Lal Sharma, Advisor-JKNPP, Sewa Singh Bali, State General Secretary-Panthers Trade Union, Jagdev Singh, Gagan Partap Singh, Capt. Anil Gour, State Secretaries and S. Parmjeet Singh Marhsall, President-Panthers Trade Union.
