Srinagar, July 5:
The Indian Army on Saturday deported a 22-year-old youth from PoK who crossed the LoC into Indian territory.
The youth was handed over to the Pakistan Army at the Kaman Aman Setu (Command Post) border crossing in Uri sector of Baramulla district.
After completing necessary paperwork and legal formalities between the authorities of the two countries.
According to the Army, Zeeshan Ahmad Mir of Painkri village in PoK. He was detained by the Indian Army on May 31, 2026, while crossing the LoC in Hajipir area of Uri sector.
He was then handed over to the local police for necessary questioning.
After the investigation confirmed that the youth had inadvertently crossed the border.
The Indian authorities contacted their Pakistani counterparts and formally sent him back at around 12:24 pm (IST) on Saturday.
