Srinagar, October 16:
Omar Abdullah today sworn in as the first chief minister of the J&K Union Territory. Lt Governor Manoj Sinha administered the oath to Abdullah and his ministers in Srinagar.
NC MLAs Javed Ahmed Rana, Javed Ahmed Dar, Sakina Itoo and Surinder Kumar Choudhary were also sworn in as cabinet ministers. Surinder Choudhary has been made Deputy CM.
Independent MLA Satish Sharma from Chhamb assembly seat was given a place in the cabinet led by Omar Abdullah.
