National Herald case: Court rejects ED chargesheet, Congress protests at BJP office

Jammu, December 19:
After the court rejected the charge sheet filed by the ED in the National Herald (Young India Limited) case.

The Congressmen staged a protest near the BJP office in Trikuta Nagar, accusing them of harassing the Gandhi family.

Leading the protest, state working president Raman Bhalla said the court has made it clear that the ED has been misused against the Congress leadership.
The protesters, raising slogans in support of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.

They demanded a formal apology from the BJP leadership for filing false, baseless and fabricated cases.

Bhalla reiterated that the court’s dismissal of the ED’s chargesheet, which cites the FIR and the absence of a case, vindicates the Congress’ stand.

The police had to work hard to control the crowd of Congress workers. There was a situation of pushing. Raman Bhalla said the verdict was not just a legal victory but a moral affirmation of the party’s consistent stand for truth and accountability. This proves that the BJP’s diversionary tactics and politics of vendetta have no basis in law or fairness.
