Mexico, December 29:
At least 13 people have been killed and 98 injured in a train accident in Mexico. President Claudia Sheinbaum expressed grief over the accident. He said in a post on the X handle that the Navy has confirmed the death of 13 people. The President said that government relief and rescue agencies have been sent to the spot. Governor Solomon Zara has also been directed to provide all possible help to the affected passengers.
After the train accident Disturbing pictures of the accident have surfaced on social media as well as in the local media.
Relief and rescue work is being carried out on the instructions of President Sheinbaum. Oaxaca Governor Solomon Zara said that more than 60 passengers who were victims of the train accident have been admitted to different hospitals. (Agencies)
