Jammu, May 8:
A fire broke out in a slum in a vacant plot in Trikuta Nagar area this afternoon.
The incident took place at around 12 o’clock. Three slums were completely burnt.
During the fire, two gas cylinders kept in the slums also exploded. It causes chaos in the area. However, no one was present in the slums at that time, as the migrant labourers living there had gone out for work.
Locals immediately informed the fire department about the incident, after which two fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and after hard work, the fire was controlled. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained and the administration is investigating the matter.
