Manan, the accused who crushed an old man with a Thar in Jammu, was sent on six-day police remand

Jammu, July 31:

Manan Anand, the main accused in the case of running over an elderly man with a Thar in the Gandhi Nagar Green Belt area has been sent on six-day police remand.

This order was given by Third Additional Munsif Arvind Manhas on Wednesday after the accused was presented in the court. The remand has been granted in the case registered against accused Manan Anand in Gandhi Nagar police station.

The investigating officer in the case said that the case is serious and the investigation is in its initial stage.

The court approved a six-day remand after reviewing the case diary and the medical report of the accused. The court held that Section 109 BNS is a serious and non-bailable offence which requires detailed investigation.
